I
have
loved
drawing
for
as
long
as
I can
remember, and my drawings--on newspapers, magazines, meeting notes,
unpaid bills, whatever--have littered my path through life. But,
although I studied art many years ago, it was
not until 2001, when Silicon Valley stopped to catch its breath, that I
first began drawing seriously with the tools, media and awareness of an
artist.
I usually
work with paints or soft pastels, and I usually draw faces or
figures. All
of my work is informed by my more recent studies in black and white
photography and the dynamics of light and shadow.
