Abstract Greeting Cards
These photographs were taken by Marina
along Ocean Avenue in Carmel, California. Antique
car owners and enthusiasts gather every summer at Pebble Beach for the
Concours d'Elegance. But there's always an informal preview along
Ocean Avenue the day before the official opening of the show. A
resident of the area at the time, Marina went to the 2002 lineup
planning to shoot pictures of antique cars. But, instead, she
found herself fascinated by details like a torn
wheel
cover, patterns created by scratched
paint,
and reflections of trees and buildings on shiny fenders. The result is
these unusual abstract greeting cards.
